Headthings for Hana!

Thanks Renee for sending these!  I love them!  Too bad Hana doesn't have quite enough hair yet to hold the clips... but soon!

Active Girl!

Hana continues to be very active and push her boundaries!  She is getting closer to walking, we think.  She pulls herself up on everything and anything she can and has started to let go. Usually she falls back, a couple of times she feel forward (note the bo-bo on her face) and one time she actually balanced for a bit before grabbing back on to the jump-a-roo she was holding.

She also seems to be close to getting her teeth.  One popped through last week (we swear, we saw and felt it!) but it went back in!!!!  She is now sticking everything soft into her mouth that she can and it seems to help....  Poor baby!

And she just keeps on going!
Her "other" Vikings outfit from Aunt Gayle & Uncle John!
Finally fits!
SO sad for her...
although she was laughing 20 seconds after I took this picture!

New Refrigerator!

Well, maybe it was a good thing we missed the delivery guys on Sunday... because we NEEDED help from Tony to get this thing in!  It was 2 inches wider than the doorway, so it had to be lifted over the counter!  And it was HEAVY!!!!!!!!!!!  It's here though!  Yippee!!

NYC!

There were so many pictures from the CT part of the trip, I decided to add a separate entry for the NYC trip!  We went there for our anniversary!  Very memorable!!

We took the train from Milford, CT to NYC's Grand Central Station.  From there we walked to Rockefeller Center (30 Rock) and went to the top!  What an amazing view that was!  From there we waked down through Mid-town (skimming the north part of Times Square) looking for our first pizza place (recommended).  It was good, and then we were off to the Matisse exhibit at MoMA.  It was good, but way too crowded.  Then we were off to the 2nd pizza place (not as good!)  From there we jumped on the subway and went to Lower Manhattan to see the World Trade Center Site.  That was memorable.  After that we jumped back on the Subway and went  to the Upper East Side (3rd pizza place - Mimi's was pretty good!)  and we walked by the Met and Central Park.  From there we took the subway back to Time Square... had a look around and then went back to Grand Central to the train back to Milford!

It was quite a day and I'm sure we'll never forget it..... I think next year we might "sit'!  Haha!

Trip to CT to see Grandma & Grandpa!

Well, we had an amazing time on the east coast!  Hana travels like a pro and she loved seeing her grandparents and meeting new family too!  I took over 500 pictures and while I narrowed it down to 364, if you want to see the whole album (or more than I post here anyway!) you'll need to email me and let me know!  :-)

Here are a few!

We flew to Connecticut on Monday September 6th (Labor Day).  Hana did exceptionally well, especially considering we had to get up at 3:45 am for our 6:00 am flight.  We flew into Hartford and Grandma & Grandpa picked us up.  We took it pretty easy that first night, because we were all fairly tired!

Tuesday we went to Stowe's and got a ton of different seafood items and Hana tried everything!  She seemed to like everything except the shrimp.  Then were were off to Yale (pretty!) and to IKEA, which was fun!  It was also Hana's first time ever at the ocean!  The water was a little chilly, so Hana didn't really like it... but she did like seeing her grandpa flying a kite!

Wednesday Grandpa took us to Mystic, CT where we went to the Mystic Seaport and the Aquarium (which Hana LOVED!!!!) Of course, we had lunch at Mystic Pizza!  We didn't have time to go to the beach again, because we got to go meet Hana's great-grandmother!  Then later we had a big family dinner out with Hana's great aunt and uncles!  That was really fun!

Thursday we went to NYC (see other entry) and Friday we mostly hung out around the house.  We had an amazing lunch of fresh steamed lobster.  Then for dinner, we went to our friend's Jack & Jen house in Deep River, CT and had more lobster (grilled) and scallops and more amazing food that we could hard eat!  Hana loved it all and had fun playing with Sam and Max!

Saturday we went to the beach again before flying home.  It was a wonderful trip!

Testing out the New Travel Chair!

Handy for packing, but with so much more "freedom" it makes feeding her much more difficult actually!  And extra messy!

What a climber! :-)

She is unstoppable!  And quite flexible!

Many people have wondered if she will be a gymnast or ballerina!  I think more like mountain climber or ditch digger!  (Something that would allow her to be dirty all the time!)  :-)

Ready to go!

Apparently Hana wanted to go somewhere last night!  We could not keep her out of her car seat!
