August 2018

After a very fun weekend with our friends and neighbors the Richardson's in Vail, Hana started the 3rd grade!  She has Mrs. Kavanaugh this year and it is going OK so far!  Hana has been invited into the gifted and talented program for reading and math and we are very proud of her!!  She's already been on a field trip to the Carson Nature Center (I signed up Knute to be a  parent volunteer, so he had fun too!) where she found a crayfish and lots of other fun creepy creatures.  She had fun with her friends at the annual back to school picnic and the new principal got dunked once too!

Hana's most exciting news (for her) was that Knute got her a very nice crossbow.  We went to Adam & Celeste's house (along with our neighbor who wanted to join Hana) to go practice shooting it, along with a BB gun.  The girls had a blast and looks like our neighbor will be buying their daughter a BB gum for Christmas this year.  (Sorry!)  :-)

For Labor Day weekend this year, Hana will be joining Knute and other family and friends at our ranch in Ft. Morgan for her first ever dove opener.  She's pretty excited.  After that, we were invited by other neighbors to Breckenridge, which we'll do Saturday and Sunday.  The I think we'll head back and have a nice cookout on Monday. Should be a great weekend!

2018 - January through June

We started off the year with Hana's birthday, of course.  Actually, her party was a little early this year (over Christmas break) and I forget why...  Oh yeah, she wanted to invite her entire class (again!) to the movies, but the theater was already reserved on her birthday weekend, but she "really, really, really!" wanted it there, so we moved it up a week.  The weather was better this time and I think everyone had fun.  I forget what movie we brought though.

Birthday Party!

Hana's actual birthday (goodies for class and dinner later!!)
