The Park!

Today (since the weather was sooooo nice again!) Hana had her first (and many subsequent) rides down the slides at the park!  She also got to swing on the fancy "baby holding" swing!  She really seem to enjoy both and was laughing on the slide!  I think we will be going back there a lot!

We'd like to say congrats to Eric & Angie!  They just purchased a new home basically "just down the road" from our house!  We're excited to have you so close and thanks for having us over on Friday night!

Hana got a new "toilet" of her own... which she seemed to thing was a special "hat"!  I put it in the bathroom and hope she stops picking it up!  We've been demonstrating "proper use" of it, but I think it will be a while before she can actually use it!

Hana also got to meet Dorothy this weekend!  We all went our for dinner last night and had a great time!  Dorothy also gave Hana a great new Teddy bear (which she loves!) and had fun playing with last night!  All in all another great weekend!

Hana's First Birthday Party

Yesterday we had Hana's birthday party!  Although I know she won't remember it, she had a GREAT time!  Well, since I took over 250 pictures, she will have a pretty good idea!!  :-)  We had about 50 or 60 people over, with about 15 of those being kids. 

After everyone had something to eat, most of the kids went to the art studio and made ornaments, painting or colored in coloring books.  After everyone finished their projects, we all went back downstairs to sing "Happy Birthday!" to Hana (she LOVED it!) and to eat cake and ice cream.  Once everyone had enough sugar, several of the kids went down to have a chance to "whack" the pinata!  On the 4th hit, Audrey was able to break it open and the kids all grabbed handfuls of candy!   Finally, we helped Hana open her presents - all of which she loved!!! 

Many people left around this time, but others stayed to eat more and do more art projects!  We actually had many new arrivals throughout the afternoon and evening, making the party last nearly 12 hours!!!  Hana, of course, went to bed at her normal time, no doubt having sweet dreams about all the fun she had and cake and ice cream she ate!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANA!

Our sweet baby girl Hana turns one year old today!  When we were not "celebrating: with Hana, I spent a lot of time thing about the last year and  this day last year in particular.  What a remarkable year it has been.  I can't believe how much Hana grew and changed.  She is her own little person with her wonderfully huge, happy personality.  I wish so many good things for her - all good things.  I can't even begin to express all the things I am feeling, so I guess I will just post some pictures from our fun day!
