Go Broncos!

(January 8th)
That has been one of Hana's favorite phrases for the last couple of weeks (along with "Go Vikings!") possibly because we've been saying (screaming?!?) them so often!?!  It's been a fun ride with the Broncos and our young and controversial new starting QB.  We barely made it into the playoffs and shockingly won last week against the Steelers!  Knute and I were lucky enough to be at the game and boy, was it exciting!  I had a scratchy voice for two days afterwards!  Yesterday's game against the Patriots was less exciting, as we got trampled (also expected) but it was really a fun season!  (cell phone images... not the best quality!)  :-)

Had to post!  :-)

Nervous!

WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And a fun picture (or 4) from the next day:

Hana has a runny nose, we assume she caught something at school.  We knew this would happen, but didn't expect it the first week!  Hopefully it will go away soon either way!!

UPDATE:  Saturday, January 14th....We lost to the Patriots the next week in round 2.  It was fun while it lasted... but I didn't take pictures, since they scored in the first drive......

Hana Started Preschool today!!

Our little baby is now in toddler preschool!  She was accepted into the 2 1/2 year old class (even though she just turned two last week!) and so far just loves it!  When we dropped her off, she was already making herself at home and has already received an invitation to a classmates birthday party in a couple of weeks!  We really think she is going to enjoy it and hopefully she'll learn a lot!

Ready to go to (pre) school!!!

Meeting Ms. Liz!

Hana seeing her classroom again.
(We had a tour a few weeks ago.)

Hana's cubby!!!
(so cute!)  :-)

Checking everything out!

I realized she should have a backpack after we dropped her off.
She likes it!  I like how they did her hair at school!

Hana after her 2nd day.  They gave her a new hairstyle!

Hana dressing up w/her new backpack!

After school day 3 (2nd week, January 17th, to be exact... as she only goes Tues & Thurs)...
Thankfully she had the good sense to put on her hat after they did her hair with a "ponytail" on the top of her head!  She's enjoying her teriyaki shrimp, veggies and rice dinner, so it's all ok!

Hana Turns Two Today!!!!

I cannot believe our little baby has been here for a full two years today!  The time has just flown by, but Hana (in my humble opinion) is a remarkable child.  She has brought so much joy to our lives and a few temper tantrums as well!

The day started out early, as Hana woke up about an hour and a half earlier than normal.  This might be because of all the changes that have happened in the past week.  She learned how to climb out of her Pack N Play.  We went to the store to get her a deeper crib, but threw herself out of that one too (head first) so we decided to go with an expandable toddler bed from IKEA (that Knute picked out!!)  It's so cute.... although she hasn't actually slept in it yet.  She gets really excited and then fights going to sleep (plays) and I end up putting her back in her old crib once she's exhausted.  She also decided on Monday or Tuesday that she no longer wants to take a nap... at all.  We have had a long (grumpy) week!

The other thing that is excited for Hana are that her Grandpa and Grandma are staying with us this week.  She has had fun playing with them and showing them her drawing and block stacking skills!  Last night we went to dinner at the Fresh Fish Company and she got to see lots of "fishies" in all the aquariums.  Good call for a place to go w/a napless child!  No meltdowns until the very end!  :-)

Tonight, we're having a big dinner with 20 people!  Let's hope we can find enough chairs to seat everyone!!  Might have to call the neighbors to borrow some!  Jane is making lasagna and hopefully I'll learn how to do it too!  I made a cake last night and will frost it when I get home this afternoon.  Sadly, I could not get the whole day off, but I am leaving early!!  Happy about that!
