Zoo & Preschool pic.

Another weekend just flew by!  We had fun, tried to relax a bit, but were generally busy!  On Saturday, Hana and I went to the zoo.  She's really been into monkey's for the last couple of weeks (saying "oh, oh, ah, ah a lot!) so we spent most of the time looking at the monkeys (and gorilla's and apes).  We attempted to go on the carousel for the first time, but Hana was scared at the last moment, so we ended up sitting on the bench with side walls, instead.

She was screaming "HI MONKEY!" here - over and over!  Funny!

Tonight:
(Best quote of the day, week, month, maybe!)
Hana just said (yelled) "Ice cream! Cold and sweet! Yee-Haw!" She cracks me up!!!!!!!!

Oh!  I almost forgot - we got Hana's first (pre) school picture this week!  Her class usually has a few more kids in it, but I think it's a cute picture with all of her "fun friends" in it, along with Ms. Liz!  :-)

Time to Fire Up the Grill!

Well, we've actually used it throughout the "winter", (if you can call it that!) but tonight we've invited friends over for dinner.  I bought 14 Choice Angus Tenderloins and have baked a cake.  I'm trying a new (bunny-shaped) tin and plan to put jam in between the layers.  We'll see how it turns out (I'm expecting to ruin them just taking them out of the pan!)  Fingers crossed.  I also bought 5 amazing looking fancy cheeses.  Should be delicious!

Hoppy Spring!

Easter Weekend 2012

Easter Weekend started out in a fun way!  Britta came over to dye Easter eggs with us and for dinner too.

Thankfully Knute suggested I put a towel under the egg dyes~!  Hana knocked over the green witgh her first "dip" of an egg.  And later the yellow!

After dinner (tacos - yum!) Britta decided to share her ice cream dessert with Hana and "brain freeze" ensued... funny pictures to come!  Hana also demonstrated her latest biking skills!  :-)

Looking forward to Easter with the family tomorrow!!!!

Easter was fun!  We all went to Trinity (where Hana was baptized) Lutheran in Colorado Springs and then we went to the Balk's for Easter dinner (and egg hunting!)  Hana's cousin's helped her find (about a million!) eggs in the back yard and uncle Leif taught her how to open the eggs.  Hana will have a sugar rush for the next week, I'm sure!  :-)

Happy Easter!
