Spring is here!!
The weather is great, the flower garden is looking good (I pulled weeds today) and we bought a bike trailer off Craiglist today! We already used it for a long ride too! And to top things off Kelsey (with boyfriend Jordan (who we REALLY like) stopped off in Denver today on their way to Copper Mountain! It was SO great to see them!!!

We arrived in Kauai!
Hana was a trooper during our 16 or so hour journey... even though she now has a diaper rash! Poor thing! I however, do not recommend traveling with a cold! I thought my head might explode, my ears hurt SOOO badly during the landings! Then I couldn't hear anything all night because they were so clogged.
When we arrived, there was a total downpour and it looks like it has been raining for a while. The golf courses (and everything else) is totally flooded. The waterfalls are pretty though! Hana adjusting OK though. We just hope it doesn't rain all week! Pictures later, of course.
Sunday we went top Kapaa to get more meds for Hana's ears and also went to Lydgate beach (no waves at all). After some convincing, she got in and started to have fun when we bounced a bit in the water - Fun! On the way home, we had a burger from Duane's Ono Burger (Local Girl) and they are the best ever (in my humble opinion!) Hope to go back again before we leave!
Then yesterday we went into the water at Hanalei Bay and she really LOVED it (waves!) although she ended up really cold by the end! Knute and I had another yummy taco from Tropical Taco - bed ever!! Then we went to good see our very good friend Debi at the Tahiti Nui!! Always a FUN time!!!
Tuesday (after a morning rainbow at the condo) was a trip down to Poipu and that was nice. It's always sunny on the south side of the island! We also had the best sorbeto on the island! We'll be trying the gelato next time! Then we came back up to Princeville to look for whale (saw several in the distance!) and saw more rainbows (double rainbow!) and a beautiful sunset over Hanalei Bay!
Wednesday - we went to Annini Beach, but it was too windy (cold) for Hana, so we went back to Hanalei Bay - which is just loved again! We will try to spend a big portion of tomorrow there (we spent quite a bit of time in the car again today as we had to go to Kapa'a to get the correct formula for Hana....) Tonight - Tapa's a BARacuda in Hanalei! :-)
WOW. This is different. We had a nice time in Hanalei Bay today (Thursday, March 10th)...... However, there was an 8.9 earthquake off Japan a few hours ago and they are expecting a Tsunami in Hawaii at about 3 am. Initial reports say that the waves could be over 30 feet!! All airports are closed, many roads are closed, as well as gas stations and we are expecting NOT to be able to leave. In fact, we are anticipating no cell/computer service in the next few hours. But, we are high (Princeville) and should not be affected directly. We PRAY for all those in lower areas. Scary evening, for sure!
Friday morning: We really didn't have many high waves (although the seas are currently very rough and the undertow is deadly - nobody is in the water today!) the low-lying roads and airports were closed most of the morning (fear of more waves coming.) The only people killed were the ones who ignored warnings and stayed on the beach "to take pictures"! Crazy! We will be flying out tonight (as planned) although flights are delayed. That's ok.

We spent Friday by (not in) the ocean with Hana and taking some last pictures of the beauty. We are very sad to leave Kauai and hope to come back again! We really love this island and are happy that it didn't sustain much damage!
