It's All About Balance

Well, they say that!  And moderation.  We seem to have ignored that 2nd part and got Hana her fifth (yes, 5th!) bike.  Well to be fair, none are actually "bikes", but we call them that.  She still has and loves her 4 wheeled "Mystery Machine" as Knute calls it (because the colors remind him of Scooby Doo) and 4-wheeled "Radio Flyer" wooden bike we got at the neighbors garage sale. She still loves both of them, actually.

Then she has her two 3-wheeled "trikes".   She is just barely long enough to pedal on her blue trike with the handle and while she really likes her bigger, pink trike, her legs are just not quite there yet.  Maybe in a month, since she is growing so much!

One of our neighbors told us about the 2-wheeled "balance bike" that we got for her today.  Again, she is just "barely" tall enough for it, but it's supposed to teach her balance and give her enough confidence in "biking" that she'll be able to skip training wheels all together!  Good family bike-riding times to come!!  We've gone twice this week, although Hana got to ride in her trailer instead of actually biking.
